Mona’s latest single is yet another chapter on the journey of this award-winning artist who has helped pave the way for other Punjabi female artists.

The daughter of legendary Bhangra icon Channi Singh of the band Alaap, Mona has made her own mark and has shown the guys that a lady can also rock the Bhangra industry.

    Mona has released three globally successful albums The Beginning, The Second Chapter and Stronger, all accompanied with eye-catching music videos shot internationally. Mona has also collaborated with big names including the late great Bollywood playback singer Labh Janjua on the hit duet track Saadi Marzi and western mainstream producers Basement Jaxx on their chart-topping track Lucky Star, which featured on their album Kish Kash. She released two religious shabads on the album Sabhe Ghat Ram Bole with renowned raagi Veer Manpreet Singh and has recorded playback singing for high profile films, recently co-composing the opening song for the successful film Chaar Sahibzaade – The Rise of Banda Singh Bahadur, with her father Channi Singh.

      During Mona’s musical career, she has been awarded several prestigious awards from around the world for Best Female Singer/Artist. Mona’s music video Ponche Tang Pa Ke from her album STRONGER was also selected to screen at the 10th annual Florence Indian Film Festival as one of the best Indian music videos.

        Achievements

        In 2012, Mona and her legendary father Channi Singh were invited to attend the Prime Minister’s Vaisakhi reception at 10 Downing Street, where they also performed for the Prime Minister and his guests. Other achievements include performing on popular BBC show Top of the Pops and performing for the British Commonwealth Delegates in Trinidad.
